The results speak for themselves...

"In the last 9 years my garden has been plagued by cats. I have a 20ft x 8ft pond and have had numerous fish mysteriously disappearing over the years. The main bugbear was that due to the condition of the soil it is very attractive as a cat toilet.
I have tried the cat pepper, the inert clay chippings impregnated with garlic, orange and lemon peelings, growing mint, putting half filled plastic bottles in the garden, etc etc etc. All total failures.
This year, after sowing my flower seeds and having them destroyed each day I browsed some websites and forums and decided to buy your product.
Although by no means the cheapest, it seemed the most logical and considering “you get what you pay for” principle, opted that I had nothing to lose considering the 90 day money back guarantee.
I will admit that I was cynical but the morning following installation I inspected my flower beds and was pleased to find NO evidence of any feline visits… further, I have had none since the installation (fingers crossed) and the seedlings are progressing. I would wholeheartedly recommend your product (and have done) to anybody experiencing the same frustrations as me regarding cats."
Terry Waldron. Eltham, London.

"We are writing to inform you of the great success we have had deterring neighbouring cats from our back and front lawns having installed your CatWatch deterrents.
It is making life much more pleasant when setting out to mow, not having toworry about what you might
step in or run the lawn mower over!!!
It has also given us the added bonus of encouraging birds into the garden giving us great pleasure.
Although we have had plenty of starlings feeding from the fat feeders our patience has been rewarded in the last few days with a pair of starlings with their three offspring, sparrows, blackbirds and a bluetit visiting the various feeders much to our delight.
Without CATWatch this would not have been possible."
Margaret Townsend&Ralph Parker. Christchurch, Dorset

"The reason for my letter is to thank you for a brilliant product. Since we installed our CATWatch we have not seen one single cat in our garden, despite there being several cats living in neighbouring houses.
We are now able to enjoy feeding the birds without the fear that we maybe luring them into danger.
Congratulations on such a useful invention."
Linda Fuller, Hoddesdon, Herts.

"Dear Sir,
I bought a Catwatch from you earlier this year, and it has proved successful beyond my expectations. Way beyond them, in fact, because in the eight or so weeks since installation my back lawn has remained totally free of cats. Over the last two or three years I have spent I should think more then £250 on sprays, powders, granules etc. all of which had some effect for a day or so, but equally all of which proved themselves to be quite useless after a short while."

Mr P Tuohy, E. Sussex

"For price, versatility and performance we choose Catwatch"

Garden Answers

*Practical Fishkeeping Product of the Month*

Our colleagues on Garden Answers gave Catwatch a best buy award. While digging, delving and defecating in your best seedbed can be pretty annoying, the sight of a feline assassin with £200 worth of Koi in its toothy gob is enough to send you reaching for Grandpas' WWII souvenir Luger.

You can dissuade them from visiting your pond with Catwatch, a neat and unobtrusive motion detector, which like those increasing security light systems, responds to movement up to 40' away. But it works day and night by giving off a high frequency sound which is inaudible to humans (and neighbours) but gives the cat a jolt, which either moves it on its way or causes it to freeze on the spot. After 7 seconds the alarm stops and recommences at a different frequency when the cat moves.

Placed effectively by your pond (it can be staked into the ground or attached to a wall) it should create a cat-free zone.

The unit is weatherproof and powered by a battery which will last between 2 weeks and 4 months, as the movement detector cannot distinguish between cats and birds.

An adaptor kit is available to solve this problem. The units are available by mail order from Concept Research and are also on sale in many garden centres.

In a Nutshell Review: A kinder cat scarer.

Quick Verdict: Could be the answer to a pond owner's prayers.

CatWatch WHOA! HOLD IT FELLAS! YOU BETTER GIVE NO.9 A MISS FROM NOW ON - THEY'VE JUST BOUGHT CATWATCH

Product Review - The Garden Answers team tested ultrasound cat deterrents, with positive results.
Our Choice For price, versatility, and performance we chose the Catwatch. It can be switched off at the unit, is waterproof, has an infa-red detector, issues warning sound blasts to deter even the most persistent of cats - and it works!

Keeping moggies at bay

Gloom descended on my household last week when Jaws, a sleek, silver Ghost Carp, fell victim to a neighbour's cat. My quest for a safe but effective deterrent ended with Catwatch from Concept Research. The device senses movement within a 1,350 sq ft zone and emits a piercing, very high frequency alarm only audible by the cat.

Desmond Rafferty, DAILY EXPRESS

Fight off felines

"We may be a nation of animal lovers but we prefer to keep the cat members of the animal kingdom out of our gardens."

High tech deterrent

But how can cats be kept away when you're not at home? M Tannel from Ferndown in Dorset and K Snelling from Dartford in Kent were united in their praise for Catwatch. "The inventor should be canonised," the latter writes. The small box works by emitting a high frequency noise when movement is detected within a range of about 40 feet. The sound is beyond the range of the human ear, but is very audible to cats. V Scaresbrook from Congleton in Cheshire describes how "the local cats now rush through the garden at great speed, shaking their heads". She regularly moves her Catwatch around, so that the cats don't find a spot where they can stalk in peace.

Animal Deterrents Tested. 6 Month Trial

Catwatch
Product: Infrared detector monitoring a fan shaped area of 100° to a distance of 12m- an area of about 120sq. m. On detection of movement or body heat, it emits a burst of ultrasound that only affects cats. This sound can damage human hearing if ear is placed close against unit.

Weather resistance: Not affected by weather conditions.

Suggested uses: Creates a no-go area for cats, protecting gardens from damage and fouling. Also protects fish in pools and birds.

How to use: Set up with lens 8in./20cm about ground level. Mains adaptor recommended if a lot of people or creatures pass by the unit, because this shortens the battery's life.

Individual Opinions
Allen thought that his was excellent, being able to install it and forget all about it. The battery soon went flat because of the number of birds setting off the unit, so he preferred the mains adaptor. He thought it was well worth the cost to have a permanent deterrent.

Michael thought this deterrent was a must for everyone plagued by cats, working out cheaper in the long run than dusts and sprays. He found that the battery lasted eight to ten weeks because in his garden only cats triggered the unit.

Patricia was very impressed with the device which she thought well worth the outlay. It was immediately effective, easy to use, with cats no longer a problem. The battery lasted 12 weeks.

Bridget found this very effective, barring all cats from her garden and bird feeding area. She thought that the unit would be better with rechargeable batteries because the batteries went flat so quickly. The mains adaptor solved that problem but created another in having to route the wire outdoors from an indoor socket.

CATWATCH voted best product by all Testers YOUR GARDEN.
